Situated in Central Africa, Chads landscape ranges from equatorial forests to the driest of deserts. Chad and especially its capital N'Djaména used to be a lively and cultural city, this has however been spoiled due to a civil war raging for 30 years. Parliamentary elections, that was considered fair by international observers, was held in 1997, and today especially the southern part of Chad is worth a visit. |
